Join me as I try to hold onto the best parts of the life I built with my spouse here in “bush” Alaska, while not drowning, literally, in “how do I survive this”.

I am surrounded by hundreds of thousands of acres of wilderness that has more Brown bear, moose, and caribou per acre than people. Some 400+ miles from Anchorage and no roads connecting me to…..anything.

I am on a steep learning curve to gain the skills I must have to survive and run at least two businesses, and not counting the small one I have been nurturing, that I have only ‘assisted in’ so I can stay in our home.

All of this while grieving the recent and sudden loss of my spouse, partner and biggest supporter.
